Is it okay to decant perfume?

Decants are the perfect way to experience a fragrance before comitting to a full bottle purchase. Sampling gives you the opportunity to test a particular fragrance throughly so you can make a conscious decision when you spend your earned money in a often expensive fragrance bottle.

Decanting is the act of transferring the liquid from one vessel to another. A fragrance decant is created by transferring the scent from its original design house bottle into a sterile sample atomizer. Decants allow you to try a variety of genuine fragrances at an affordable price.

Storing your perfume in the fridge is the best way to help it stay fresh, especially during the hot summer months. Sunlight, heat from radiators and changes in temperature can all destroy perfume over time, but when stored in the cool, dark fridge it can last for years.

Avoid the Mist-and-Walk

"With spritzing perfumes into the air, it will also drop onto your clothes and the floor or furniture and can stain from the residue," she cautions. "I'm not a fan of spraying it in your hair either, particularly if your fragrance is alcohol-based because it dries the hair."
